From Farm to Fridge.

My today's blog is devoted to the video called"From farm to fridge." First of all i would like to say that i was really shocked by the video, never in my life i would thought that this things are happening. Perhaps right now at that same second, somewhere at the neighboring state, that cruelty is taking place. In the recent discussions of CAFO Reader, Slaughter House,  everything i have read, was actually shown in this video.I believe that video was not shown on national television, for some understandable reasons, which are misrepresenting the countries "Meat heroes", that are companies CEO, largest slaughter houses, by compromising that companies in the consumers eyes. Seeing all this, made me think how people do whatever it takes to get the higher profit, whether it were "animal unit" or "human unit." By focusing on animal cruelty, we over look the deeper problem of human cruelty. Workers lose that sense of mercy, that every humane being tough from the childhood. They also take it with them thru their families, friends and most important to the rest of their lives. Common sense do dictate us that it is not right to act so cruel toward our "little brothers," they have feeling and emotions, they feel pain, feel sad just like us.

  1. Hi Nadima,
I’m Evan from Professor Roger-Coopers ENG 220 class. I read your blog and the assignment and I think you should re-read the assignment again. First, the main question of the blog is mentioning the movie “From Farm to Fridge” and you didn’t mention it once. Secondly, it feels like you’re writing an essay giving back up information from other sources, yet the movie wasn’t mentioned. You mention Food INC, and Slaughterhouse but no information about the video, or how you feel on the subject. It might help as well to define CAFO and what they represent to the readers that aren’t familiar with their policies. Lastly, if this is your essay, you should include a strong thesis, make sure your topic sentences work with your thesis and watch out for grammatical errors. You need to re-read aloud and try and catch all the small mistakes and organize your essay as best as you can that fits the requirement.
