From Farm to Fridge.

My today's blog is devoted to the video called"From farm to fridge." First of all i would like to say that i was really shocked by the video, never in my life i would thought that this things are happening. Perhaps right now at that same second, somewhere at the neighboring state, that cruelty is taking place. In the recent discussions of CAFO Reader, Slaughter House,  everything i have read, was actually shown in this video.I believe that video was not shown on national television, for some understandable reasons, which are misrepresenting the countries "Meat heroes", that are companies CEO, largest slaughter houses, by compromising that companies in the consumers eyes. Seeing all this, made me think how people do whatever it takes to get the higher profit, whether it were "animal unit" or "human unit." By focusing on animal cruelty, we over look the deeper problem of human cruelty. Workers lose that sense of mercy, that every humane being tough from the childhood. They also take it with them thru their families, friends and most important to the rest of their lives. Common sense do dictate us that it is not right to act so cruel toward our "little brothers," they have feeling and emotions, they feel pain, feel sad just like us.

CAFO, never thouhgt of it before?

thats my first blog ever,i hope im doing it right.i am very happy that im in this class and that we are discussing very important topic, which is food ethics and CAFOs.And that topis raised so many debates in the classroom and i am already surfing the web for more info about it.Let me tell you that ever since i started that class i have not eatten any McDonalds fast food. And asa young mother that info was very helpfull not inly for me but my 1 year old baby boy, who is not exposed to the fast food especially McDonalds, and my husband as well.I am also considering of becoming a vegetarion because as i have read in book CAFO:"....vegetarians exhibit the lowest incidence of heart problems." That topic is very factual, because we aet we eat and we will eat.Eating is inalienable part of our daily life, but we also need to know what we eatting and how to do that right. Hopefully i will have knowledge of that when finish that course as well as good grade.
